Shallow bowl with rounded sides and everted rim, raised on a short foot. Covered in a pale bluish-white glaze, thinning at the lip; base unglazed kiln adhesions within the footring.

Painted in underglaze cobalt blue with two scholars in a river landscape, the cavetto divided into panels incorporating trigrams and auspicious motifs, the reverse decorated with floral sprays.

Northern Song dynasty (960–1127) with globular lobed body, flared mouth, curved handle, and short spout, applied with a ribbon-form ornament at the shoulder.
Covered in a pale bluish-white glaze stopping above the foot.
